Game-Sync Quick Tips
Sync to your TV
OBJECTIVE: OnSwitch plays lighting effects a split second after a play happens on TV!
Tap Delay button.
Leave delay controls up while you watch the game.
Increase delay to trigger effects later. Decrease to trigger sooner.
When lights trigger immediately after play completes, it’s just right.
If DELAY=O and lights still flash after the play happens on TV, then…
PAUSE your live TV service until the light effects are before your TV.
Note: This is usually required for NHL game-sync.
Then use the Delay controls as described above.
League-Specific Tips
Look for a key event in each sport. Compare TV game clock to OnSwitch game clock.
NHL:
Look for Face-offs.
Compare game clocks.
NHL usually requires 1-3 minutes of live TV pause to get light effects ahead of game-play.
Fine tune with +/- buttons until lights flash just after puck drops.
NBA, NCAAB:
Adjust delay until score matches TV.
Look for any basket.
Fine tune with +/- buttons until lights flash just after ball goes through net.
MLB:
Adjust delay until current inning and outs match TV. (MLB has no game clock.)
Look for Strikeouts. (Or any play, really.)
Fine tune with +/- buttons until lights flash just after plays happen.
NFL:
Look for first downs.
Compare game clocks.
NFL may requires pausing live TV first.
Fine tune with +/- buttons until lights flash just as football crosses line-to-gain.
Watch game with set delay controls up. Adjust until it’s synced. Then enjoy your game!
Which lights will flash?
Before entering game: go to Groups screen.
Tap the name of group you want animations to appear on.
Tips:
Pick lights near TV screen.
